What we collect

When you sign in we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google or Microsoft. When you fill in your profile we store the school, major, graduation year, and description you provide.

When you connect a mailbox we receive permission to send email on your behalf and to read replies to emails sent through Ahimaaz. We store the emails we send for you and the replies that match them. We do not read, store, or analyze any other mail in your inbox.

How we use it

Your profile and the gist you write are used to draft emails for you. Sent emails and replies are used to show you campaign results and to decide whether a follow-up should be sent. We use Anthropic's API to generate drafts; the text you provide and the recipient's name, company, and title are sent to it for that purpose.

We do not sell your data and we do not use your mailbox to send anything you did not approve.

Disconnecting and deleting

You can disconnect your mailbox at any time from Settings, which revokes our access with the provider. Deleting your account removes your profile, campaigns, sent emails, and replies from our systems.

Uploading your own contacts

If you upload your own CSV of contacts, we keep a copy of that file, together with your name and email address at the time you uploaded it, for as long as the company operates — including after you delete the upload from your account or delete your account entirely. Admins can open the file to review it, most often when you ask to share it with the shared reservoir (below) or when we need to resolve a support request. Deleting an upload removes it and its contacts from your own list; it does not delete our copy.

Your uploaded contacts are private to you: no other student can see them or select them into a campaign, and they never join the shared reservoir automatically. If a contact you upload is already in the shared reservoir, any details missing from the shared record may be completed from your file. If you tick the box offering a batch of uploaded contacts to the shared reservoir, an admin reviews the request, and the contacts become visible to other students only if that admin approves it.

To work out which column is which, we send the file's column headings and up to five sample rows to our AI provider once per upload; the rest of the file never leaves our servers, except job titles our own rules cannot categorise, which are sent as a list of titles without names or email addresses.

You can ask us to permanently delete the raw file (not the counts or the fact that you uploaded it) by emailing privacy@ahimaaz.com.
